Emerald Mussels

Emerald Mussels LTD

Emerald Mussels is an Irish mussel farming company with a proud history spanning over 35 years in the Irish shellfish industry. Operating in Belfast Lough and Carlingford Lough, we specialise in the sustainable cultivation and harvesting of high-quality mussels, with an annual production of approximately 3 million kilograms. Our fleet consists of four dedicated vessels: Mare Gratia, Still Ostrea, Rona and Emerald Gratia, operated by an experienced team with extensive knowledge of Irish waters. Combining traditional mussel farming expertise with modern technology, we produce mussels for markets across Europe. Looking towards the future, Emerald Mussels is pioneering innovative offshore seed collection through our Smart Farm project in Arklow, helping to secure a sustainable and reliable supply of mussel seed. By investing in our people, vessels and innovative farming techniques, we are committed to strengthening the Irish mussel industry and ensuring its future for generations to come.
