As Second Skipper of the YE-38, you replace the skipper during their absence. You are reliable and committed, enjoy working closely with colleagues and take responsibility on board. You look ahead and are willing to continue developping yourself, with the goal of eventually carrying greater responsibility within the fleet.
You ensure that all work on board is carried out safely and correctly. You supervise the daily operations on the vessel and actively contribute where needed. You also support work preparation and cooperate closely with the skipper, being fully capable of taking over their duties when required.
In addition, you oversee the maintenance of the vessel and its equipment and actively participate in this work. As you grow in the role, you will become more involved in the practical execution and improvement of mussel farming operations, This includes closer collaboration with other vessels within the fleet and contributing to long-term maintenance planning. This growth will take place step by step, aligned with your experience and development.
