Nutri-Score

What is Nutri-Score?

The Nutri-Score provides insight into the nutritional composition of products to help you make informed choices.
The score shows how a product compares to similar products. For example, mussels are compared to other types of mussels—not to shrimp or oysters. Products with a dark green A have a healthier composition within their category than those with a red E.

The Nutri-Score is determined by the nutritional content of the product. Proteins and fibers have a positive impact on the score, while energy (kcal), sugars, saturated fat, and salt negatively affect it.

Our products come from the salty sea.
This means their salt content tends to be relatively high. Fortunately, they are also incredibly rich in protein and healthy fats. Below, you’ll find our products categorized by Nutri-Score, along with a brief explanation. Want to know more? Feel free to contact us via the contact form.

The Nutri-Score of our ready-to-eat mussels varies by flavor. Our ready-to-eat mussels are marinated in different sauces, and it’s the sauce that influences the Nutri-Score. Mussels on their own score an A, but the marinade makes the difference in the ready-to-eat range. Napoli and Natural score an A. Avignon and Classic score a B. Bangkok scores a C.

Danish spring mussels with creamy horseradish dip.

Danish spring mussels are young mussels cultivated just below the water’s surface in the Danish Limfjord. The meat is wonderfully tender, and the shell is relatively thin, allowing the mussels to cook quickly. The horseradish adds a bit of spice to this young Dane.

Aguachile with oyster

Aguachile resembles tiger's milk but is slightly different. The concept is similar, with the fish cooking in the aguachile. To avoid overpowering the dish, we used less aguachile. The oyster remains uncooked and is eaten raw!

Delicious refreshing summer oysters - Granny Smith apple, cucumber, lemon juice and zest, paired with La Zélandaise or SOL oysters.
