Ingredients
- 12 hollow oysters
- 12 sprigs of samphire
- 30 gram butter
- 3 tbsp flour
- black pepper
Instructions
Warm, comforting, and visually appealing! Fried oysters make a delightful appetizer.
- Shuck the oysters and loosen them from the shell.
- Place them on a paper towel to drain.
- Empty the shells thoroughly and place the deep side in the oven to dry and warm up.
- Melt butter in a frying pan and, in the meantime, dredge the oysters in a bowl of flour and black pepper.
- Once the butter begins to brown, fry the floured oysters until they are golden brown on all sides.
- Place the fried oysters back into their shells and add a sprig of raw samphire (sea asparagus) on the side.
- Enjoy!
