Are you an SW5 or SW6 student looking for a BPV internship where you don't just stand on the quay, but truly work on board? Krijn Verwijs offers BPV internship positions on our mussel vessels (YE-24 / YE-20 / YE-38) operating on the Wadden Sea and the Oosterschelde. Here you directly apply the theory from school in the real-world practice of mussel farming. An ideal internship for someone who enjoys learning by doing.

Your tasks

During your internship as a crew member, you actively take part in all daily onboard operations. Your focus is on gaining experience in mussel farming and maintenance work. You will learn to work with vessels, rigging, and cultivation materials, and you will gain insight into safety, planning, and teamwork on board. Throughout the internship period, you can work on BPV learning objectives that align with your SW5 or SW6 programme.
