Our cockles are fished by cockle fishermen. They are constantly looking for the best places on the tidal flats to fish these shells. They live just below the sand. With the naked eye, you actually only see the empty shells, but when you walk across the mudflats, you feel the cockles with your feet. Experience and craftsmanship show the best places to find these clams. The cockle is a sustainable and local product that deserves more attention. Let's all put cockles on the table more often!
