In our family, everything revolves around the sea. It is our source, and here our delicious and nutritious shellfish are grown and harvested. Our great-grandfather, Pieter Verwijs, began cultivating oysters in 1880. For as long as we can remember, we have lived with and from the sea. We are proud to continue his legacy with Premier. Every day, we ensure that our customers around the world can enjoy a full range of fresh Premier fish, shellfish, and sea vegetables. From flavorful mussels, shellfish, and crustaceans to the most premium oysters on the market. We select only the very best! Through our active role in the entire production chain, from source to plate, we are able to maintain our excellent quality and deliver the freshest products.

For decades, we have specialised in the cultivation and processing of mussels. Through close cooperation with our Seafarmers, we ensure mussels of Premier quality all year round. Our strong relationships with Seafarmers across Europe allow us to offer a year-round calender of fresh, seasonal mussels. Our mussels mainly come from Zeeland (the Netherlands), Ireland, Denmark, and the United Kingdom.

Oysters are the product it all started with for Krijn Verwijs in 1880. More than 120 years later, the passion and craftmanship for this remarkable product remain unchanged. We work closely with our Seafarmers across Europe. Whether the oysters come from Zeeland (the Netherlands), Ireland, France or Portugal, we never lose sight of Premier quality.

The Buitjes, Rispens, Van Straten and Bolt families have a long history in shrimp fishing. They dream of leaving a legacy for their children and grandchildren, where future generations can continue to harvest sustainably from a fertile sea and develop flavourful shrimp with passion. The shrimp are machine- or hand-peeled, creating a truly artisanal product. Tailored for everyone.

Premier - Van de Water is able to provide tailor-made solutions for fresh fish. This means our high-quality production facilities can process fish according to customer requirements. Portioning, sizes, with or without skin, and various cutting methods allow us to deliver the right customised fresh fish for every need. We specialise in processing cod species such as cod, skrei, haddock and pollock, as well other fish like wolffish, redfish and salmon.
